Founded in 2015, the distillery was born from a desire to create a gin that truly reflects the local landscape. Drawing on Chris’s winemaking background, the brothers spent years foraging the Wairarapa region to find indigenous plants that could complement traditional juniper. The result is a small-batch operation, using a 200-litre copper pot still to produce gins that are earthy, peppery, and uniquely aromatic. By blending these native ingredients with a refined, artisanal approach, Reid & Reid has become a definitive voice in the New Zealand craft spirits scene.
