Darroze 1993 Pounon Bas Armagnac 48.2% 200ml$74.54 $82.00
The 1993 vintage from Domaine Pounon is loaded with bold, spicy wood flavor, much like a high-proof Bourbon. The nuance of the fruit is overpowered by the caramel and vanilla of the wood, but it's not a bad thing. This is crossover spirit - capable of pleasing American whiskey fans without losing the rusticity of the Armagnac character
Darroze 1993 Salie Grand Bas Armagnac 49.4% 200ml$74.54 $82.00
Fire color, not very intense. Aromas of ripe fruit macerated in alcohol dominate. Then fine spices appear (liquorice, white pepper). Complex. On the palate, the tannins are fine, delicate. We find these aromas of ripe and candied fruit (dates, apricot). Nice length.
Compagnie Indes Rum Kiaman 1973 & 1993 46% 700ml$752.00
A limited edition of 500 bottles, this amazing blend is the result of a unique blend: A cask of traditional Guadeloupe aged from 1973, then transferred 10 years ago in a single bigger oak cask (1000L). With a cask of two 1993 rums, blended together in 1995 in Europe then aged in an old rum cask. It was a Guyanese rum made from three unusual stills; Savalle from the Diamond distillery, Enmore and Port Mourant from Uitvlugt distillery and a Jamaican pot still rum from Wedderburn. This blend was aged in an ex rum cask. The specific DNA of this blend is as follows: 72.2% 1973 Guadeloupe and 27.8% 1993 Guyana / Jamaica.
