Crème de cassis (blackcurrant liqueur) is one of the best I have tasted. As soon as the bottle is opened, you’re greeted with a rich aroma of natural blackcurrants rather than anything artificial. The liqueur itself has a wonderfully thick and velvety texture. It carries a gentle tartness but isn’t sour at all, it is simply delicious, creating a beautifully balanced flavour. I’ve already enjoyed it on its own, poured over vanilla ice cream, and even mixed into cream while whipping it, which gives the cream a lovely pink colour and a delicious taste.
