I love the Sortilege!! I've had it on it's own but mostly I have it over ice cream. Really nice and smooth.
Beautiful balance between sweet creaminess and spirited whiskey. I have to be disciplined and always stop at one, lest the bottle is emptied too quickly.
This liquour goes very well with venison. You roast the venison with carrots,potatoes, garlic and left over wines and a generous splash of chestnut liquour. Cook well. Separately, cook some potatoes or sweet potatoes. Throughout, add lots of buerre. This is a magnificent dish, and the liquor adds to the roasted chestnuts you have included.
Delicious 😋. No mixing with other mixers. Just serve with ice 🧊.

Very nice, bought for the significant year. My husband was overwhelmed. When sipped it was wonderful. Only need a tiny bit at a time as it has a kick but finished a special event perfectly.

Darned if it isn’t the most incredible vermouth I’ve ever had, by a long shot (previously buying Noilly Prat) and now making the most amaaazing martinis at home. We will be Maidenii customers for life, especially as soon as you get back on your feet!

We first tried this at a Vermouth tasting around 9 years ago (at the RACV Club) against vermouths from around the world. WE loved this one then and it is my go to for a martini or with soda water and ice. We are treasuring every bottle and drop we have and pray the Maidenii Team are able to rebuild and produce again.

This was another inclusion in the 2025 French Classics advent calendar.
Within 15 minutes of sipping the sample of this stuff, I had a bottle in the shopping cart. The beauty of the advent box is being able to "head-to-head" different distiller's expressions. This was so amazing. So easy to drink, the higher ABV is masked by the overall quality. Don't buy this either. I want them.

After trying a few other Calvados', I found this one included in the French Classics advent calendar (a brilliant idea) and in comparison to others that I have tried, this one has a great bite, and tastes of Normandy apples. Some Calvados that have passed these lips fail to let the taste of apple through and just taste kinda boozy. One other small brand competes to my taste, but this is wonderful. A light colour and fruity aroma are followed by a great sharpness (NOT rough) and apple brandy flavour at its best.
