Bielle Rum 2008 48% 700ml$352.00
This Bielle 2008 rum is not a rum-like any other, and for good reason: it is called "Les Rhums vieux de Marie-Galante”! This 2008 vintage was put in barrels in August 2008 before being racked in 2016. Its delicate amber colour reveals beautiful golden reflections, a promise of authenticity for this vintage Bielle, like all the old rums produced by this distillery.
Bielle Rum 2003 52.8% 700ml$904.00
Powerful and complex, the wood is present, the vanilla discreet, balanced with finesse. Amplitude and roundness, the spices are found with toasted notes. Surprising and pleasant for a rum of such power.
Bielle Liqueur de Rhum 'Bois Bande' (Agricole rum liqueur) 40% 500ml$82.00
Tasting Notes: We are bringing to Australia this very French specialty Rum from the small island of Marie Galante, and it is said to improve substantially gentlemen's performance, as per the label (and we quote): “Generous & Virile. Gives strength to men, which pleases ladies and gives ladies the desire of this pleasure.” This liqueur is known throughout the French West Indian islands for being related to the supposedly aphrodisiac ‘bois bandé (richeria grandis) tree. Liqueur Bois Bandé is made from Bielle rhum, sugar cane syrup and natural flavours.
Bielle Rum Ambre 40% 700ml$199.00
This Premium Amber Bielle rum has benefited from a double distillation, one in the column, the other instils. This particularity gives it a remarkable roundness and fullness. It is therefore not an amber rum like the others, as you can verify by tasting this nectar made at the famous distillery of Marie-Galante . Its aging took place in two stages: first in oak barrels, for a year, then in oak casks until bottling. This contact with wood has given it its beautiful amber colour. This cuvée is distinguished by its great sweetness and delicacy. Freshness, tangy sweetness… Bielle succeeds here in a masterful demonstration of the extent of its know-how!
