Jacques Tissot Vieux Marc d'Arbois (Red grape varietals) 43% 500ml

Jacques Tissot
Produced from red varietals. The pretty bright gold colour shows some particles in the glass. Opening scent is waxy, crayon-like becoming more fruity / spicy after exposure. Second phase draws out pure, juicy scents of dried fig and prune. Light and silky entry leads into a graceful, light, dryish mid palate that's spicy, waxy; followed by raisin and fig. Lively spices add depth. Warm, waxy, drying finish. Spiced dried fruits repeat in the fade. Shows solid length.
Jacques Tissot created his Domaine in 1962 with a plot Inherited from his father, and the first vintage of Vin Jaune ( A Xeres method of vinification of the Savagnin grape ) sees the day in 1969, mythical year. The Domaine is in reasoned cultivation: minimal use of plant protection products thanks to the tillage and the grinding of the plots. The vineyard is more natural, reinvested by many insects, a sign Life and biodiversity. Besides being very good at wine Jacques Tissot is excellent at Macvin, White or Rose. ( Mistelle) and Marc (Grappa/pomace brandy). A mistelle is the freshly pressed grape juice mixed with its own estate Marc and aged in wood.
