Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it has been aged in authentic casks, made by the best Cognac coopers; using hundred-year-old oak trees from the estate ‘La Péraudière’ which were chosen in 1989 for the exceptional subtlety of their grain. The staves were left to dry in the open-air for three whole years, and from these wonderful casks, ‘La Péraudière’ cognac was born. Limited series of 1000 bottles.

The Normandin Mercier 1976 Cognac is a single vintage cognac that has been created with full respect for the purest methods of cognac production. The eaux-de-vie was first aged for 18 months in new oak barrels. These were then toasted slightly to further allow for the aromas to be infused to the liquid within. Finally the eaux-de-vie was moved to ancient barrels to complete the aging process. Each step was overseen by the BNIC. This cognac was well-deservedly awarded the gold medal in the International Wine and Spirits Competition 2016. Well balanced, both on the nose and on the palate. Aromas of lily and orange bark. a very natural cognac.
