Description

Produced from red varietals. The pretty bright gold colour shows some particles in the glass. Opening scent is waxy, crayon-like becoming more fruity / spicy after exposure. Second phase draws out pure, juicy scents of dried fig and prune. Light and silky entry leads into a graceful, light, dryish mid palate that's spicy, waxy; followed by raisin and fig. Lively spices add depth. Warm, waxy, drying finish. Spiced dried fruits repeat in the fade. Shows solid length.

Domaine Jacques Tissot is a family-run estate in Jura, France, founded by Jacques Tissot in 1962, known for its traditional Jura wines, especially Vin Jaune. The estate has been modernized under the leadership of Jacques' children, Philippe and Nathalie, who have expanded the estate to 30 hectares and transitioned to sustainable and more natural vineyard practices. They offer a range of wines, including the iconic Vin Jaune, and have developed traditional sales channels while maintaining the estate's commitment to quality and regional identity, now also including a sister property in Arbois, Domaine A. & M.
