Description

Paul Giraud Cognac Grand Champagne 12 years is a premium aged spirit that embodies the tradition and craftsmanship of Cognac production in France. This 500ml bottle contains a carefully crafted blend of eaux-de-vie from the Grand Champagne region, which is known for producing some of the finest Cognacs in the world.

At 40% ABV, this Cognac has a smooth and balanced flavor profile that is best enjoyed as a sipping drink. The nose is filled with notes of vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak, followed by hints of dried fruit and spice. On the palate, it is elegant and refined, with flavors of honey, dried apricots, and almonds, followed by a long, smooth finish.

This Cognac is a testament to the skill and expertise of the Giraud family, who have been producing Cognac since the early 20th century. Only the finest eaux-de-vie are selected and aged for a minimum of 12 years in oak barrels, resulting in a spirit of exceptional quality and depth.

Paul Giraud

Grande Champagne, Cognac

Cognac

Paul Giraud

Paul Giraud is a long-standing family estate located in Bouteville, a small village in the heart of Grande Champagne. The family has been cultivating the land here since at least 1635, passing down both vineyard and tradition through generations. Their extensive stock of aged eaux-de-vie offers a full range of expressions for those who appreciate depth and character in their Cognac.

The estate produces only 100 percent Grande Champagne Cognac, with a focus on single vintage and single year bottlings. Heritage and Noblesse are the only exceptions, as carefully crafted blends. The vineyard spans 42 hectares, all planted with Ugni Blanc vines. Each parcel is located in Bouteville, growing on the chalky soils of Campanian and Santonian limestone that define the region's exceptional terroir.

For over 30 years, the Giraud family has quietly maintained a responsible and environmentally conscious approach to viticulture. Organic fertilisers are used in combination with traditional soil ploughing. Much of the vineyard is still harvested by hand, a method that has become increasingly rare in the Charentes. Today, only a small number of estates continue this hands-on tradition.

The result is a Cognac that speaks for itself, shaped by time, care, and a deep connection to place.
