Description

Christian Drouin Calvados Vintage 1999 is a premium, aged spirit made from the finest handpicked apples from the Normandy region of France. This exquisite 700ml bottle is a true reflection of the art and expertise of Christian Drouin, one of the most renowned Calvados distillers in the world.

This vintage Calvados has been aged for over 20 years in oak barrels, giving it a deep, rich amber color and a complex, nuanced flavor profile. The nose is filled with delicate aromas of ripe apples, followed by notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and honey. On the palate, it is smooth and full-bodied, with flavors of baked apple, toffee, and toasted oak.

At 42% ABV, Christian Drouin Calvados Vintage 1999 is a bold and flavorful spirit that can be enjoyed on its own as a sipping drink or paired with a variety of desserts, cheese, or fruit. It is an ideal gift for connoisseurs of fine spirits or anyone who appreciates the art of distilling. Indulge in a glass of this exceptional vintage Calvados and experience the essence of Normandy in every sip.

Calvados, Ciders & Liqueurs

Christian Drouin

Christian Drouin is one of Normandy's most celebrated Calvados houses — a family distillery in the Pays d'Auge rather than a single individual. It was founded in 1960 by Christian Drouin senior, an industrialist from Rouen who bought a farm at Gonneville with cider-apple orchards and set out to make the finest Calvados he could. His son, Christian Drouin junior, joined the business and began selling only in 1979, once stocks had matured; having spent a decade abroad, he steered the house toward export and specialised in rare, very old Calvados for the world's best hotels and restaurants. The third generation, Guillaume Drouin, now runs it.

Today the house produces Calvados, ciders, perries and gin, and has won over 300 gold medals, exporting to 55 countries. Its style is defined by long cask ageing and meticulous blending across dozens of cider-apple varieties.
