Willett Pot Still Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers 5YO White Oak 47% 750ml CARAFE. Handcrafted Kentucky Straight Bourbon using time-honoured methods in the art of distillation and using only limestone spring water, carefully selected grains and secret strains of yeast. Aged in new white oak casks until fully mature and then bottled by hand in a beautiful pot still shaped bottle that is hand-numbered. The nose is " vanilla lemon cake". The palate is a balance of caramel, vanilla, spices, and citrus. Willett Distillery was established in 1936 by Thompson Willett, but the family’s whiskey legacy began long before.

Thanks to his father and grandfather, Thompson held a deep knowledge and respect for the craftsmanship involved in making fine whiskeys: Use the best ingredients available, pay close attention to the details – then take a step back and give the whiskey time and space to develop character.

It’s a simple approach, but it seems to be working. Willett Distillery, also known as Kentucky Bourbon Distillers (KBD), Ltd., is a private family-owned and -operated company that produces various brands of bourbon and rye whiskey. Most brands produced by the company are in the premium category and range from 6 to 17 years of aging maturity, with some of its bottlings being aged as long as 25 years.
