Description

A superb Grande Champagne Cognac, with a great personality, powerful.

A velvety nose with notes of vanilla and honey. Very complex and unctuous palate with jammy aromas, prune, orange, then notes of cinnamon and black chocolate. Very long finish with notes of liquorice and spices coming through, toasted coffee. A perfect cognac to go with your favourite Havana cigar and some piece of dark chocolate, at 70/80% pure cocoa.

Founded in 1880 by Honoré Fillioux, the house of Jean Fillioux is now led by his great-grandson, Pascal J. Fillioux, who oversees every step of production — from vineyard to bottle. It is truly a one-man show, guided by tradition, passion, and precision.

The family’s vineyards are located in the heart of the Grande Champagne, within the so-called “golden triangle” of Verrières, Angeac-Champagne, and Juillac-le-Coq. This area is renowned for producing the most delicate and refined Cognacs — spirits that demand long ageing in oak to reach their full potential.

Each generation of the Fillioux family has shared a deep love for the land and a rare gift: an exceptional nose, that intuitive talent which distinguishes those who merely appreciate greatness from those who can truly create it.

Jean Fillioux remains part of a small circle of traditional, family-run estates that have preserved their reputation for excellence over decades. Their Cognacs are celebrated by connoisseurs for their authenticity, elegance, and the patient craftsmanship rooted in over a century of dedication.
