Description

Created in the 16th century by the famous Paracelsus, this bitter and digestive liquor showed so many virtues that in 1850, a Swedish doctor officialized it under the name of "Elixir du Suédois" and used it to treat all kinds of ailments. Later, Dolin created its own miracle drink formula, making the true elixir of the Suedois Dolin a benchmark in the matter. Myrrh, gentian, and orange are part of this bitter whose use has long gone beyond grandmother's remedy to invite its delicious bitterness in the most trendy cocktails around the world. Dolin is one of the few remaining independent vermouth producers — and the last to craft Vermouth de Chambéry, still made according to the traditions that earned it France’s only AOC for vermouth.

Established in 1821, Dolin has long set the benchmark, known for its elegant, Alpine style. They are the original creators of Blanc vermouth, and their Dry is famed for its light, delicate profile.

Made from fine wines and botanicals gathered in the Alpine meadows above Chambéry, Dolin vermouths are infused with herbs, plants, and fruit — following recipes unchanged for over two centuries.
