Johnny Drum Private Stock Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the premium offering from the Johnny Drum range. Bottled at 101 proof, this big bold bourbon is a terrific rich, mellow old-school sour mash bourbon produced in very limited quantities to a method unchanged in five generations of quality distilling. At cask strength , this is the flagship from the Johnny Drum range of handmade bourbons, produced in small batches at Willett Distillery. NAS but approximatively 8 years old. EYE: copper gold colour with a gold hue. NOSE: a touch of shellac at first, then toffee apple, mixed nuts and an enticing array of spices including clove and vanilla. PALATE: the attack yields concentrated flavours of dried fruits, caramel, sweet spices and sandalwood. The mouthfeel is creamy and mildly prickly at the same time, however the whisky maintains excellent balance at this strength. Finishes soft and dry with an aftertaste of vanillan oak, creme caramel and a subtle liquorice strap fade. A big, complex Bourbon experience. 50.5% Alc./Vol.

Michel Couvreur Whisky Intravaganza 50% 700ml: The Intravaganza is a single malt spirit distilled in Scotland and matured between 2 and 3 years in wine fresh sherry casks. It’s bottled at its natural strength 50% alcohol by volume Limpid gold amber tint. Typical to very young malts with almonds and frangipane (red jasmine) fragrance, nice grassy freshness with a slight touch of honey and wood. Lively and sharp in the mouth, its maturation in wine casks, despite its young age, is revealing some silky elegance. Different from the previous batch at the start (notes of brazil nuts) but with a kick on the fruits (cherries, cranberries). After aeration, we find a little the character of the previous one with other notes of rancio. Cocoa powder on the finish, or rather uncoached chocolate. In the oak casks used for aging white wines in Japanese wineries, we matured Sake (junmai-shu) brewed by us and then used the Sake Cask to wood finish for Togouchi whisky. With a light fruit scent and a moderate acidity derived from white wine and Sake, a sweetness like brown sugar derived from the wood finish, the harmony of sweet taste with the mellow fruity aroma is enjoyable. Gwalarn: The First Celtic Blend After creating two prestigious single malts (Kornog and Glann Ar Mor), Celtic Whisky Distillerie has developed its first blend, born from the blending of whiskies of Celtic origin. Like its single malt predecessors, this blend bears a Breton name that evokes its character, Gwalarn or “North-West Wind”. The French distillery in Côtes-d’Armor intends to bring fresh air to the world of blended whiskies. The innovative blend designed by the cellar master, Aël Guégan, and by Jean-Sébastien Robicquet, founder of Maison Villevert, unites for the best, the complexity of a Scotch whisky, the character of a German whiskey and the peat of Kornog, titled single malt from Celtic Whiskey Distillery. The result is striking in its balance and complexity. Gwalarn presents itself on the nose with elegance. The notes of cereals, ripe fruit and vanilla are clear, with a peaty background reminiscent of Kornog. The palate is energetic and fruity, with lingering vanilla notes. The peaty, salty finish is particularly full and even. Such complexity and balance distinguish Gwalarn from the best premium blended whiskies. Thus, Gwalarn takes place in the collection of exceptional whiskies created by Celtic Whisky Distillerie.

Handcrafted from three varieties of Australian malted barley and matured in an Aussie corn whisky cask for over three years. We then finished this batch in an ex-Shiraz cask for an additional few months. Malt profile: Three varieties of Australian malted barley: Atlas, Veloria, Voodoo Cask profile: American Oak, Aussie corn whisky. Finished in an ex-Shiraz cask.
