Description

The Green Beer with Genepi (Biere Verte du Mont Blanc) brewed by Mont Blanc Brewery with Dolin Genepi. Genepi belongs to the absynthe family. Its other name is glaciers absynthe because it grows above 2500m on the moraine of glaciers. It is then added to a wheat beer brewed with the neighbouring water from a spring on the Mont Blanc (highest summit in Europe). The high altitude gives you a kind of uplifting sensation and a sense of exotism, but the reality is that it is delicious enormously addictive and very refreshing... Tasting Notes: Green apple, herbaceous nose (mint, camphor, lemon), on the palate minty chamomile, fruity and sweet aromas reminiscent of pear.

About The Producer

Dolin is among the few remaining independent producers of Vermouth and the last producing Vermouth de ChambŽry, still made according to the principles which earned ChambŽry France's only Appellation dÕOrigine ControllŽe. Their bitters are the result of an infusion of herbs, aromatic plants and fruit in neutral alcohol and wine. Made to the same base of recipes since 1821, Dolin Vermouth de ChambŽry has long been the benchmark for fine Vermouth. Inventors of the Blanc (White Vermouth), Dolin is equally famous for its very light, pale Dry. In the late 19th century, Dolin won medals in Paris, London, St. Louis and Philadelphia and in 1932 earned ChambŽry France's only Appellation d' Origine for Vermouth. Dolin Vermouth de ChambŽry is made of fine wines and botanicals found in the Alpine meadows above ChambŽry (France). Together they impart a fresh and elegant nose, with a subtle and complex palate. Ideal as an aperitif or in cocktails.
