Description

Every month, a tiny portion of St. Laurent Gin production goes to old barrels of whiskey. Thus, after a rest of more than one year in oak barrels, our famous Gin infused with seaweed becomes the St. Laurent Vieux Gin. A soft and aromatic approach: the juniper expresses itself without astringency, gently, then gives way to long notes of grass, pepper and candied citrus. A long woody finish, slightly saline, signature of the seaweed infusion. Awards: Silver medal at International Spirits Challenge 2018

About The Producer

Distillerie duÊSt.ÊLaurentÊis a friend-operated spirits producer located in the coastal town of Rimouski, Canada. There mission is to elevate the art of craft distilling in Quebec by transmuting the best ingredients from here and abroad into exquisite and distinctive spirits.

Like mostÊbooze-relatedÊstory, the JourneyÊstarted as a hobby in Jean-Franois' basements where some "totally legal essential oils distillation operation" took place on the weekends. At that time, there were justÊa handful of craft distilleries in Eastern Canada, so we founded Distillerie duÊSt.ÊLaurentÊand obtained our distilling permit in AugustÊ2015.ÊSt.ÊLaurentÊGin, a marine Gin with mineral and salty notes, was released in early 2016 and it was a blast. We quickly became a favourite in our domestic market and attracted attention abroad.

Everything went pretty fastÊafterwards. In 2017, we've ramped up Gin production to cope with the demand:ÊSt.ÊLaurentÊGin is now distributed in Canada, USA, France, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Luxembourg, Japan, Philippines and now Australia! Distillerie duÊSt.ÊLaurent is now considered both a pioneer and a leader in the craft spirits movement in Quebec.
