While our whiskies aim to transport you to the backwoods of Yackandandah, our gin invites you to take a walk in the Victorian High Country. To create this gin we apply two distillation methods. We macerate and boil the traditional botanicals while using the vapour-infused method for the Australian botanicals. This helps to balance a traditional gin base with the intensity of local botanical flavours. This unique Australian gin was recently recognised on the world stage, receiving a silver medal at the prestigious London Spirits Competition 2021. We serve it with a dry tonic or soda, a sprig of rosemary and a sprinkle of juniper berries. Our Muscat Gin invites you to amble through the scented forests of the Victorian High Country and among the sunny grapevines of Rutherglen. This limited, seasonal gin is a High Country collaboration between Backwoods Distilling Co and Scion Wine (of Rutherglen). Crafted by steeping handpicked Rutherglen Brown Muscat grapes in Backwoods' award-winning High Country Gin. The spirit was then hand-basket pressed. Enioy it neat or over ice. Our Salted Lime Gin was inspired by some of our favourite flavours of the Australian botanical landscape. Created with two unique varieties of Australian lime, along with pink river salt from the Murray River. This gin highlights fresh juniper with a zesty lime pallet and a mildly salty finish. Distilled in our copper column still, we use a double-distillation method by boiling the traditional botanicals and vapour infusing the Australian ingredients. Enioy with tonic or soda and a lime wedge for a refreshing summer sipper! Or get a little fancy and mix up a martini or gin margarita!
