Description

Les fils d'Emile Pernot is a traditional French distillery founded in 1889 by Emile-Ferdinand Pernot in Pontarlier, in the Haut Doubs.

The Absinthe Cousin Jeune 65 ° Les Fils by Emile Pernot is a fairly strong white absinthe with a slight hint of bitterness. Floral, powerful and surprisingly aromatic, it will appeal to the uninitiated as well as to the most informed amateurs.

Titrating at 65 °, it is in line with our best absinthes such as the Authentique or the Vieux Pontarlier.

The last white absinthe born from the imagination of our Master Distiller. Long on the palate with a slight bitterness at the end of the mouth, it will not leave you indifferent.

Gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole 2014!

Its label uses a well-known advertising poster from the Cousin Jeune house. It represents a young red-haired woman with voluptuous shapes carrying a glass and a bottle of Cousin Jeune absinthe on a tray.

This poster and its slogan: "Ask for my cousin" written in large letters invites you to taste this absinthe with a refreshing taste lengthened with water, in the traditional way.

Absinthe & Liqueurs

Distillerie Les Fils d'Emile Pernot

Founded in 1899, the Emile Pernot Distillery sits in the heart of the historic absinthe-producing region stretching into the Swiss Jura — the ideal terroir for the plant and its distillate.

The distillery uses two original copper alembics, built by Egrot in the early 1900s specifically for absinthe. These rare stills, the only ones of their kind still in use, allow Emile Pernot to craft absinthes using traditional methods unchanged for over a century.

In 2010, the acclaimed Berthe de Joux and La Maison Fontaine were born, followed by the rising success of Absinthe Authentique in 2011 and 2012.

But Emile Pernot offers more than absinthe. Their unique fir tree liqueur, Sapin, is a complex and distinctive spirit, beloved from the first sip — along with other specialties like Gentiane and Absinthe liqueurs.
