Description

This latest opus from the Cellar Master’s collection Saint James brilliantly closes the tribute to the “Grands Crus” of the Distillery. Its rarity is the result of a controlled distillation of the pure juice of cane and prolonged aging of sixteen years in medium tropical without topping or reduction. A Great Rum from Martinique.

Dark mahogany. Sandalwood fragrances are carried by a very woody elegant. The attack of candied fruit opens little by little towards warm gourmet notes (cocoa and mocha) A controlled degree that allows the flavors to express themselves with finesse. A fat mouth marked that offers exceptional length. The benchmark year 2005 marked by a dry climate. Distilled in a traditional Creole column. Aged and bottled in our cellars in Sainte-Marie. Put in barrels 12/20/2005 in 320L French oak. 16 years without reduction or tooling. Light filtration. Collector's series is limited to 5006 bottles, sold in a case.

Each one of our bottles is taste-tested and hand-chosen by some of the best palates in the southern hemisphere. Only once a bottle has been deemed crème de la crème, do we add it to our catalog. Finding the perfect bottle isn't always easy - but with us, it is.

Saint James

St James one of oldest and largest distilleriy in Martinique Island (Caribbean Island). It is a Saint-James slogan in honour of Martinique and it's simply the truth. Its story and taste highlight this island blessed with rum. Besides being a primordial part of Martinique's economy, Saint-James is also one of its cultural element. Every day, thanks to the media and its spirit of initiatives, Saint-James contributes to reading, singing and entertaining manifestations by sponsoring shows, traditional fairs and games. Martinique beats to Saint-James' tune, while it drinks the St James 'Agricole' Rum. The AOC Rhum Agricole de la Martinique restricts production to the short best season for the cane to pack aromas, compels that all and only the fresh juice of the cane be used, contrary to 95% of the world rums using the left-overs (Molasses, stalks) of the sugar refining industry. Agricole Rum belongs to the world of cognac or Armagnac, whenever Traditional Rum (also known as Industrial) is in the grappa / pomace world.
