Amber color, intense. Nose of Armagnac of great terroir, with aromas of chocolate, coffee, leather, honey, licorice. Extraordinary complexity, intensity and finesse. In the mouth, the tannins are present, dense. We feel again these flavors of roasting, leather and rancio. Beautiful length.

Presentation of the property: Much of the distillation at Domaine de Laposte in Tenareze was carried out in the 70s, which is why we propose several vintages from that period; all different, but all retaining that special character, due to both the terroir and the Faget family savoir-faire.
Tasting notes: Yellow color with golden tints. The nose is very fine, classic for an armagnac produced in the Tenareze area. We feel some light and fine flavors like vanilla, linden, pear and dry fruits. We find again this finesse in the palate, due to silky and delicate tanins. Some dry fruits aromas (almond, walnut) are finishing the bouquet.
Darroze 1976 La Poste Armagnac 47.3% 200ml
$113.00
Beautiful brown color with gold and orange reflections. Brilliant. The aromas of perfectly managed aging give this first nose an extraordinary character: coffee, toast, undergrowth, pencil lead. Then aromas of candied fruits and dried fruits bring complexity and carry the Armagnac (figs, apricot, dates).
Darroze 1977 La Poste Armagnac 49% 200ml
$109.00
Polished copper / beams from the glass. Ideal clarity. A fabulous brandy bouquet opening with cigar box, prunes and hints of varnish. Expands with time in the glass adding suggestions of fig paste, nectarine, almond pastry, vanilla custard, black pepper and rancio. Entry is a little firm, oak-heavy, dry; countered by a burst of sweet fruits as the wood dovetails into fig, apricot, nectarine and vanilla. Climaxes in the aftertaste which sustains the flavours of the middle stage with extraordinary staying power. Resonates for 20 seconds plus. Even better after extended air contact. Outstanding. 49% Alc./Vol.
Darroze 1976 La Poste Armagnac 45.8% 700ml
$387.00
Nice brown color with gold and orange tints. Brilliant. Aromas coming from a controlled aging give to the first nose an incredible character: coffee, toast, undergrowth, flint. Then, some crystalized and dry fruits appear and bring complexity and length to the Armagnac (figs, apricot, dates).
