The barrels used are all French oak, new or already used for spirits or great wines, they bring a magnificent colour to this Single Malt. It has a beautiful honey colour, golden straw. The nose reveals gourmands grains, honey and fruits in syrup. On the palate, the attack is supple with fruity notes but also honey, vanilla and eau de vie. The final is nice, easy and long.

Michel Couvreur Whisky Pale Single Single 45% 700ml: Nose - Fresh and well fruity initially. Vegetal (tea thyme-lemon), it makes me think of some Benrinnes. Simple and direct. Its expressiveness and fruity are lost along the way, too bad! Taste - Moist and light, precise and pointed. Accessible and aromatic, it is spicy with vegetal notes from end to end. Finish Creamy and sparkling. When your expectations are zero on a whisky, you sometimes have very good surprises! Here is the third chapter of our French Whiskies editions : TheUnexpected 3, like the second, it has been distilled in French Alpen,from Vanessa organic barley. The new make spirit was veryconcentrated, full of flavors. The whisky has been matured indifferent Sherry casks (Amontillado, Oloroso, Fino and PX), mostlyin humid cellar, bottled at natural strength of 50% alc./vol.The blend is subtle and elegant, with a strong aromaticconcentration. A great bright after taste.No peat, no smoke, cereals flavors being very expressive.Blended made in February 2023, 2500 bottles and 45 magnumsare obtained.

Our Double Wood expression is a reflection of the impact of rich, soft oak on the pure Bakery Hill unpeated new make spirit. Our Classic spirit is initially matured for up to 7 years in American Oak Ex-Bourbon barrels from Jack Daniels, before being transferred to a virgin French Oak ex-wine barrel, shaved back to bare wood, and then given a light toast to highlight the oak itself – rather than any of the previous contents of the barrel. Tasting Notes:Nose: The nose opens with the slightest hint of apricot, coconut and plum, going on to reveal an intermingling of golden syrup and plum pudding warmed by the spicy hint of cloves Palate: Subdued, mouth filling with orange marmalade overtones with the characteristic rich nougat sweetness and well balanced oak Finish: Rounded, well finished and lingering to the very end

Our Peated Single Malt attracts both peated whisky lovers as well as those previously averse to the heavier smokier elements of single malts. In our Peated expression, rather than overpowering the malt with smoke, the peat acts as a complimentary flavour to the sweet, floral and fresh notes of the spirit. Something to savour and enjoy. Tasting Notes: Nose: A subdued peat aroma combined with natural leather and overtones of kumquat and fruit mince tart. Sweet, but not overly so. Palate: The palate reveals a tobacco leaf earthiness with layer upon layer of complex smoke intermingling with toffee and honeycomb. Lingers on the lips and palate, demanding just one more sip.
