Production: After ageing for five years in the Caribbean and for a further three in the facilities of Bodegas Williams & Humbert in the wood of Dos Cortados (palo cortado), at this point “Dos Maderas 5+3” then enters a third and final stage of ageing in casks which have previously been used to mature Don Guido sherry (Pedro Ximénez) for over 20 years, to become the extraordinary Dos Maderas P.X. Both Don Guido and Dos Cortados have been aged for 20 years as certified by the oldest Denomination of Origin in Spain: Jerez-Xérès-Sherry. Tasting notes: The final stage of ageing in Pedro Ximénez casks bestows a dark amber colour with delicate notes of raisin, fig and vanilla. Suggestions for consumption: Given the high quality of the product we recommend serving in a balloon glass either neat or on the rocks. Connoisseurs may wish to enjoy it combined with aromatic mixers, fizzy or not.

Production: Dos Maderas LUXUS, as with "Dos Maderas 5 + 3" and "Dos Maderas PX 5 +5 ", is a noble blend of soft and intense rum from Barbados and Guyana. Dos Maderas LUXUS is matured for 10 years at its place of origin in the Caribbean, before being transferred to the Spanish Sherry house of Williams & Humbert. There it matures for a further 5 years using the Solera system method in American oak casks which have previously contained the internationally renowned DON GUIDO, a Pedro Ximénez Sherry with extraordinary aromas and flavours, which is certified by the Sherry Regulatory Board as having an age rating of over 20 years.

From the distillation of Plums and Alsace Quetsch, the eau-de-vie will be slowly rested in oak barrels.
The slow respiration through the pores in the wood will give roundness and finesse.
It is in winter that our fermented fruits will be subjected to the test of fire: Distillation. The fruits will be deposited in the still, impeccable, gleaming of all its brass. Gently, the flame will volatilise the spirit of the fruit, concentrate its aromas and allow, very slowly the flow of a clear brandy already rich in a thousand flavours. The first and last fractions of the heating, heavier and less refine will be eliminated. We will keep only the heart of the heating, pure, fine and refined which alone is worthy of the name Bertrand.
