The 2018 release of single malt from the new Eden Mill distillery in St Andrews, on Scotland's east coast.
A really impressive early release, this has been matured in a mixture of oloroso, Pedro Ximenez and bourbon casks. Bottled at 46.5%, there are 3,200 in the run.
This is the second release of whisky from the distillery, outside of a 200ml series of 'hip flasks'.

Distilled in 1959 and bottled in 2018, this remarkable wood-aged spirit promises a sublime brandy experience. At around 50-60 years of age, the wood has infused its full quota of tannins and aromas to the liquid. At this stage, explains Gelas, the Armagnac is typically decanted into glass demijohns where it will continue to age in storehouses built by Baptiste Gélas in 1875. The period in glass continues to develop the brandy, helping to harmonize the aromas and preserve the characteristic rancio notes.

Exclusive and particularly exquisite vintage Armagnac from 1983. A frontrunner among the most precious reserves. In contrast to cognac, the Armagnac is distilled only once and then stored in the typical black oak barrels for 3 - 20 years. This is also where its dark, amber-colored shine develops, as well as the typical aroma of prunes, vanilla, licorice and much more. As a rule, it has a stronger taste than cognac and is therefore described as very noble and smooth. Vintage Armagnac can only be called this Armagnac, which contains only the grapes of a vintage. Even the annual loss of fluid, the "Part of the Angels" (share of the angels, La part des ans) is filled with the same vintage fires.

Classic aromas for an Armagnac made with the Baco grape of that age (cinnamon, licorice, candied fruit, tobacco) give a great character to the spirit. On the palate, the tannins are present, silky and fat. Flavors of toast, dried fig, licorice bring complexity and length.

Marc Darroze, around the values of authenticity and excellence, wished to sublimate some of these treasures hidden in these limited series titled Luxe Gascon. Luxury in Gascony is represented by this ability that producers, pastoralists have to keep Armagnacs for decades. Finesse, authenticity, rarity, elegance are all words that characterise these Armagnacs packaged in crystal carafe specially produced to sublimate these exceptional products.
Each batch is unique (only a few bottles), each decanter is numbered and accompanied by a certificate certifying the origin and respect of all the steps to testify this particular luxury.
