Made from 100% Baco grapes. Once beyond the varnishy/resiny/sappy opening sniffs, this yields delightful aromas of roasted nuts, dates, vanilla, pepper and sweet oak. A surprisingly soft, medium-bodied Armagnac framed by fine astringency, unfolding with flavours of oak shavings, prunes, raisins and orange zest and near-zero burn. The finish is oaky, moderately tannic with threads of vanilla and dates through the aftertaste.

This 1980 vintage from Rimaillo estate was sourced from the farm of Madame Larrieu in the village of Nogaro. 100% ugni blanc grapes.
EYE: nice golden and brilliant colour.
NOSE: fruit notes of quince, orange and apricot are dominant. With air (10 minutes, worth the wait), the Armagnac reveals fines spiced flavours and some very delicate oaky fragrances.
PALATE: we feel fruits and spices again. The tannins are silky and fine. Great finish.

Blend of two 1988 vintage Fins Bois Cognacs. One comes from a retired winegrower, located in the village of Ecoyeux, a few kilometres from the town of Saintes in Charente Maritime. He decided to allow part of his 1988 harvest to age by storing it under State control from March 6, 1989. The other Cognac, for about 1/3 of the cut, comes from a family of winegrowers still inactivity. from the Matha region.
Straw yellow colour. The quality of the wines distilled in 1988 was “historic”. Very fine, fresh and quite nervous cognac. Lots of finesse and elegance. The palate is frank, with a lot of freshness and distinction. Rich, very fruity finish.
