Tasting Notes:
Nose: The essential fruity (citrus) and floral (honey, fresh sugarcane) notes of ESB rum express the intense aroma that is characteristic of JM white rum. These aromas are accompanied by the first subtle notes of ageing, with hints of spices (aniseed, cloves), vanilla and toasted facets.
Palate: Spices (pepper, cloves, nutmeg) are perfectly balanced with delicately toasted woody and vanilla notes, complementing the predominant fruity character of white rum.
Finish: The finish is round and smooth on the vanilla and woody notes of ageing.

Forget everything you thought you knew about Spiced Rum! Far from the segment?s clich?s, this is not one of those syrupy rums packed with sugar and colourings but rather an authentic rum, with very little added sugar (15g) and no colourings whatsoever. It is a rum from a blend of Dominican Republic (approx. 80%) & Venezuela (approx. 20%), slowly infused with black pepper, ginger, liquorice, vanilla, nutmeg etc for 2 weeks.
The rum obtained after maceration is thus naturally spiced and fruity. Whether sipping it on its own or mixing it in a cocktail, it is simply delicious!
Tasting Notes:
Visual Aspect: COMPAGNIE DES INDES? spiced rum is a deep and powerful light gold colour. It results mostly from the maceration of real botanicals and spices in the rum. The colour in your glass is thus completely natural.
Nose: Balanced between the sweetness from the notes of nutmeg, vanilla and the touch of cinnamon and the spicy powerful side with the notes of ginger, pepper and the touch of citruses. It is intoxicating and shows a strong character.
Taste: The word Spiced makes complete sense here with first this balanced sweetness soon making way for the citruses and spices such as ras el Hanout and cloves, building up to woody and warming notes of liquorice, tonka bean, vanilla and some vegetal aromas (Thyme, coriander etc?).
Finish: cradled in a delicious sweet and salty world, as if floating on Aladdin?s flying carpet.

Depaz is one of the leading distilleries in Martinique, a small island in the French Caribbean.This Rhum Blanc is a special release exclusively harvested on the skirt of the Montagne Pele with its typical soil. The fresh cane juice is fermented for 48 hours, then distilled in the typical copper column still. It comes out at 70% alcohol and it is slowly reduced with water over 60 days. It is also matured in stainless steel tanks for a minimum of 3 months before bottling.Tasting Notes:Nose: fruity, floral and complex aroma, with a specific mineral touch.Palate: the attack is sweet and honeyed, with very elegant floral flavours. Most rum is made from molasses. In the French West Indies, rum is made by fermenting, then distilling pure sugar cane juice. This Rum is a result of blends from Jamaica, Trinidad Barbados, Guyana, Guadeloupe and Martinique. What makes it unique is that its made from 100% sugar cane juice, a rarity for non French rums, then matured in oak cask for 3 years. Vanilla aromas, fruity notes, oak and a touch of caramelized banana on the finish. A true Caribbean Blend, made in the French manner.

Barbagaya is Compagnie des Indes’ third small batch after the Dominidad and Veneragua. It results from a blend of 2 casks: one from Barbados from the Foursquare distillery, and the other from Guyana from the Diamond distillery. Both were distilled in April 2007 and aged just under 40% in Europe. The blending took place in April 2021 in our warehouse.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: At first honeyed aroma emerges from the glass, then aromas of prunes and currants. It evolves into pine sap, iodine, and candied orange.
Mouth: A franc, woody, and roasted attack. Followed then by iced chestnut and English fudge notes, but also a touch of sweet chilli, mixed with lemongrass.
Finish: It’s deliciously indulgent, with the impression of biting into a pancake spread.

This HSE very old VSOP rum is aged in Bourbon oak casks and in French oak casks on the beautiful plantation Saint – Etienne in Gros-Morne, Central Martinique. This process confers this exceptional rum a Creole flavor and a spicy, aromatic palate.
The nose is rich with candied fruit: apricot, peach, cantaloupe, followed by notes of grilled almonds and caramel with buttered coffee and clove. The taste is superb and enhances the nose: a broad, warm attack, admirably envelopes the palate.
Its mellow nature and viscosity accentuate the lasting taste of this very old rum.
