We selected our finest vintages to create a unique and rare spirit, deserving theMaison’s 130 years. To embody this blend, a vintage was chosen for eachgeneration.
- 1900 for Prosper Delord, a 123-year-old Armagnac: notes of rancio and spices.- 1938 for Gaston and Georges: notes of dried fruits and spices.- Jacques and Pierre: 1973 for its light notes of dried flowers and 1974 for thefinesse of its woody aromas.- 2004 for Jérôme and Sylvain (current generation): gourmet notes of vanilla andcocoa.
With this blend, we also took the opportunity to highlight the work of SylvainDelord, the master blender of the House.

Armagnac from the Bas region is considered to have the most finesse, also tending to yield spirits that are very supple in their youth. Plantings are mostly Bacco and Ugni Blanc. The Northwestern portion of the Bas-Armagnac (known casually as the Grand Bas Armagnac) has a concentration of quality producers, especially in the department of Les Landes.

Situated in Bas-Armagnac, Delord's distillery is to be found in the village of Lannepax, the ancestral home of the Delord family. They comment, "Our old Sier Armagnac alambics, that we wouldn't part with for all the gold in the world, produce less than 30 litres of eau-de-vie an hour. Our cellars contain our old treasured vintages and include more than 700 oak barrels that protect and age the Armagnac eau-de-vie dating from the 20th Century to the present day".
Produced from Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, Colombard and Baco 22 A grapes.
Tasting note: Lovely gold ochre / bright copper appearance. Muted opening sniff yields a subtle fragrance of nougat and sweet spice. Further aeration stimulates notes of candied orange peel, vanilla and dilute maple syrup. A soft, round entry follows through to light to medium-bodied profile offering suggestions of light toffee, dried fruits and white pepper towards the finish which is dry and brimming with oak. Pulls up short. 40% Alc./Vol.

Copper with a gold hue. Opening sniffs offer sweet leather, roast almonds, hazelnut, toffee apple and an array of spices including cinnamon, clove and vanilla. The robust, spicy palate yields baked apple and raisin flavours followed by a wave of cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Warming spirit tingle, almost prickly. Drying aftertaste of orange zest, vanilla, nutmeg and old leather. If extraordinary length is one indicator of an extraordinary Armagnac, this is a solid example, but not one of the greats. 40% Alc./Vol

Deep, dark mahogany in colour, the Armagnac has aromas of ripe fruit, cinnamon and fine oak, and a rich palate with sweet fruit notes, vanilla, caramel, fruit cake, Christmas pudding and warm spices. Complex and layered, it lingers long in a harmonious balance of sweet fruit, warm spice and fine oak.
