Definition: Triple Aged Rum
- Alcohol content: 42% Alc. / Vol.
Production: This unique blend, prepared at ‘cask strength’ of 42º alcohol, gives fine, distinguished aromas of an old classic rum with distinct notes of sherry oak and sweet Pedro Ximenez Sherry so distinctive of Dos Maderas 5+5 PX.
Tasting notes: To the palate the 10 years old rum gives a first sensation of an old rounded dry rum, then the subtle notes of smoothness and sweetness from the old casks of Pedro Ximenez begin to linger, leaving a very pleasant medium sweet aftertaste.
Suggestions for consumption: Serving tips: given its extremely high quality it is recommended to serve either neat or on the rocks.
The history of Bodegas Williams & Humbert goes back nearly 130 years. They participated in the creation of the Jerez-Xérès-Brandy Quality Demarcation and are now considered to be one of the world’s most prestigious wine producers. Since then they have preserved part of the original wines and brandies (soleras) in high quality oak casks. These soleras are the base of the development and ageing of every sherry and brandy produced at Bodegas Williams & Humbert. But with such aromatic casks available they are ageing carefully selected traditional rums in their Solera Sherry casks, very much in the way that great Single Malts become interesting. Impressive!!
